50th Anniversary family tree
This is a panel that I created for my parent's 50th Anniversary. I cut the leaves with my Taurus 3 ring saw and ordered the names done in gold vinyl. The shapes of the leaves indicate what sex the family member is. One shape for the males and another for the females. I used 5/32 round H-channel to assemble the piece. The tree pattern was free on Pinterest and I came up with the leaf idea to create our family tree. My parents absolutely loved the piece, and because I ran short on time and was unable to get it framed, they took it to a professional gallery and had the framing done to their liking. I am a self-taught artist and until recently always did foil method. Just in the past 9-10 months, have I embarked on using lead came and zinc came in my projects. I really enjoy doing the lead method, and glazing the panel to really make it a true work of art.
