Boy Fishing
This piece was inspired by a free pattern and created for my oldest son who is the ultimate fisherman. It is done with copper foil with the worm can added on top, along with wire for the fishing line. The piece is about 18 across the base and about 10 at the widest.
Moose
The moose piece was a wedding present for my son and daughter-in-law who live in Valdez, AK. The piece is 18\" X 18\" and traveled from VA to AK in my suitcase wrapped in layers of bubble wrap, between pieces of paneling, and lots of clothes above and below. Thankfully it was in one piece when I arrived. This piece is done in copper foil and was adapted from a pattern by Dawn Thompson, Indee Studios because the mountains in the pattern didn't look very Alaskan. I tried for the feel of moving water by using textured glass with some pieces having the texture on the front and then reversing others so the texture was on the back. Also, since this piece was destined for a spot in Alaska, I used white and the clear textured glass in the border for a snow and ice feel.
