Rose Lamp
Hi; I made this a number of years ago - about 1988. I was at a flea market and bought a marble lamp base for $10. I looked for a mold to match the size of the lamp without luck. So, I designed a mold with materials from a home center. - This lamp has 1500 pieces in it. - There are four sections - and looking from the top they look like a rosebud. - I designed the grid and \"Rose\". The pattern was my creation and used tacky wax to set the pieces in each section prior to wrapping and soldering. - The lamp is 16\" high and 18\" across. - It took about one year from start to finish. I was teaching at a high school and coaching the fall, winter and spring seasons. - This is a one of a kind and something I'm very proud of.
Window Panel
I just completed this 28 x 39 window for a family in town. It's located above their master bath jetted tub.
Dragonfly/Shell Lamp
This is a lamp that I made a few years ago. Our family was vacationing in Cape May, NJ and we happen to see a dragon fly shell lamp in a store that my wife liked. She was going to buy it and I stopped her and said that I'd make one for her. I bought the spread wing dragon fly Worden mold and reworked the design so the back ground glass is black and the shells are the luminary part of the lamp. The shells are from Cape May so it is a nice memory of our visits there. It is quite spectacular when lit and was a fun challenging piece to create.
