Red Room
I made this for a friend for Christmas to be put in her living room. It is my second attempt at panel lamps and I love them! I altered the pattern by using glass intead of bevels for the bottom portion. Thanks again for letting artists display their work! Always nice to see your own pieces out there!
Circle of Life
I just love that I can submit my work to be seen online! Such a great opportunity! This piece is titled 'Circle of Life'. I created it for a final project in my 2D Design class at UMD. I had a specific time frame that I had to finish it and had to be worked on during classes. I can happily say that from start to finish it took me under a week. The finished dimensions are 20 x 30. It is my own design, simple yet effective. I had a great time working with this piece, as do I always.
Fanatic-
This was my first own design for a lamp shade that I made for my older sister that is a fanatic when it comes to Mickey Mouse. I had fun trying to figure out the best way to incorporate a rainbow with the mickey face. I gave it to her last Christmas and she loved it! I entered into the Minnesota State Fair and ended up getting the first place ribbon!
House Warming
This piece is my first commissioned piece, more of a practice one, but glad that it got to hang in someone's house. I made it for a coworker that recently bought a house. She picked out the pattern from a book of patterns that I had. She picked the colors and I figured out the glass choices. I used the copper foil technique with 50/50 canfield solder. I love working with glass and cannot wait to make more pieces that people can enjoy. Thanks again for giving artists the opportunity to put their work online. I look forward to submitting more of my work.
