Flowers
This work is simply entitled Flowers. It was based on a pattern from a book. I made some changes to the pattern. I work using the copper foil method. This work has over 100 pieces. All were cut by hand. The size is 26 1/2 length 9 3/4 height. I was commissioned to do this window to be installed in the third floor of a house.
Blue Crow
This sun catcher was made for a company who has a blue crow as their mascot. It is approximately 6 x 8 I use the copper foil method. For this project I used a saw to cut all the details. All materials for this work were purchased through Glass Crafters.
Tuxedo Cat
I used a pattern from a book for this piece. This was the second stained glass project that I made. It is 8x 10. It was made this size to fit nicely into a picture frame. I work using the copper foil method. I used a great deal of solder - I was still learning the craft.
Untitled
I purchased an iron cross that I liked in garden store. I decided to make it more interesting. I cut pieces of glass to fit the empty spaces within the cross. Once I had the pieces cut, I put copper foil on the the pieces. I then put foil on the back of the cross. I then soldered the pieces into place. I always keep my eyes open for new possibilities. Some of my most creative projects are done using scraps of glass left over from previous projects.
Mosaic Flower Pot
Mandala composed of broken tile, stained glass, and grout.
Untitled
Made from terracotta pot, broken china, grout. I accidently dropped a favorite tea cup. There is something symbolic and therapeutic about putting pieces back together.
Untitled
Materials: Stained glass- broken into little squares with nippers, mirror, and grout.
