A study in textures
This is my very first leaded piece. It is approximately 20x48. It hangs in my kitchen. It is titled A study in textures. When I was picking out the glass, my teacher said I had enough glass to sink a ship. But I used every kind of glass I bought and have made many pieces since and all those types of glass have come in very handy.
Brandon's Bug
My son, Brandon, was watching me draw this pattern. He was on the opposite side of the table from me. The pattern was of tulips, several realistic and several abstract. But from the opposite side of the table he saw a \"bug\". We added the eyes, wings, and the orange \"ring of fat\". He chose the glass, including green glue chip for the back round, cinnamon baroque, from Spectrum, for the mustache, and the purple for the wings, which is iridized on the back. We also added twisted wire for the antenna.
