The Door to My Heart
Hi, I began doing stained glass about 1 year ago. I am self taught and made a few mistakes along the way. During the past year I've completed 18 projects. My first large project was this window for the door between the kitchen and the garage (my studio and a place to park my wife's car). The completed window is 24X36 and was done for my wife for Mother's Day 2003. The two flowers at the top represent our two children, the heart - our love, and the intertwined pieces - our total family.
Ryan's Wizzard
This piece I made for my 19 yr old son. It measures 17X17 and is now in a black walnut frame which I also made. He has always enjoyed mythical creatures and is a big fan of role playing games (eg. EQ, D&D, etc). I did this with copper foil using Spectrum Cathedral glass. I had to purchase a lot more glass than needed to get the hair and beard to flow the way I wanted. My son has really enjoyed this piece.
Cornstalk on a Clear Day
This piece was designed to fit an old antique frame. My wife has recently redecorated our guest room and I decided she needed a little something extra for the window. This measures 17X26 and has the corn stalk, sun and sky layered behind the clear.
