P&H Mining Equipment in Action
The first picture is the 3 panel before insertion. The second picture is after insertion. The panel were inserted in the transom about the door, in the main lobby, of the P&H Mining Equipments headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They are scale models, in actual mining scene reproduction. The total size of the three panels was 27\" x 60\". The used software, Glass Eye, to design the backgrounds. The actual machines were scanned in off of the manufacturers scaled drawings. The software allowed for scaling them into the background. The background was constructed and the machine laminated to the background. Detail were constructed. Several twisted wires of appropriate size for the wire ropes. Miniature chain for chain links. The lattice work was simulated with cooper foil. Various glass textures, both front and back, were utilizes to simulates rocks and the terrain in mines. Industrial art glass is a rarity. I am a retired Engineer who worked in the mining industry and worked in many mines around the world and knows these machines. My glass art is not for sales. Many pieces are given to charities, schools and churches for fund raisers. The commissioned piece materials are paid for and a donation are made to a charity.
Curved Lines
Curved Lines, an actual wall hanging, 22 in. x 26 in. I printed a picture from a web site. I then scanned it to Glass Eye. The colored picture scan made it impossible to auto-draw, I hand drew the pattern using the tools. The art was modified to make construction possible. The Glass Eye program made proportional sizing possible. I used Spectrum Translucent glass from Glass Crafters. Although it is a one way 2.5 hour trip to the store, I buy big pieces of glass which can't be easily mailed. The Glass Eye program allows you to color the glass. Copper foil method was used with 60/40 solder. The frame is zinc. Black patina was used. The finished piece was polished with a Pizzas brush. I am strictly a hobbyist donating my work to fund raisers, gifts and home decorations.

Mosaic Pot
To use up scrape glass I attempted to do a mosaic pot. The design is strictly freehand. Straight sided bases, to adhere the glass to, is preferred.
Suncatchers
I use the copper foil and solder for all of my work. I use GLASS EYE software to make the patterns. I select the basic patterns from various sources than modify them, enhance them and size them using the software. Because I like to make big glass art , I am inundated with smalls and scrape glass pieces . This is a collection of small glass art or sun catchers. The patterns are re-sized to 8.5 x 11 in. to fit on single sheets of paper. The edging in rounded U lead channel. The art is given to charity auctions and home use.

The background is rough rolled cathedral glass. The dove is white/clear iridized. The length of the art is the longest size I can accommodate in my small work shop. The art is a combination of a pattern from \"Let There be Light\" and modified by the designer/builder using Glass Eye. The glass will be hung over the Baptismal Fountain in St. Peter the Apostle Church in Naples, FL. I give all of the glass art to charity fund raisers and fund raiser organizations.
