Santa Pin
I entered a contest that required all entries to use an old bowling pin as the base. The art could be any medium but had to have a holiday theme. I used a combination of glass mosaic, copper foil and what I like to call \"glass sculpting\" techniques to create my Santa Pin which is approximately 18\" high. To my delight, I won first place locally and then nationally and I have also had four commissions from it. All of the glass is Spectrum. I used small glass beads broken in half for the eyes, holly berries and decorations on the Christmas tree. I'm going to try an angel & a man fishing next as I have commission requests for those. I've been doing stained glass art for about 14 years.
