Christmas Cockatoo
I started doing stained glass in Oct. 4, 2001. This was the 3rd piece that I had ever done, which was completed by Nov. 15, 2001. This was a Christmas present for my Mother. The cockatoo and a bare branch were from a pattern. I added the border, over lapped the branches on the border and added the leafs. The border is Bullseye 2-3 streaky with Coraco glass and the foot & beak are an Iridized (Bullseye 1129-10 - awesome stuff! Charcoal Gray The rest is pretty much Spectrum & Armstrong. It's done in copper foil with a custom natural birch (or maple) wood frame my husband built. It measures 17\" x 24\".
Freddi's Magnolia
Using the copper foil method, I made this panel for my boss as a Christmas present. The background glass is Pilkington Sycamore, Spectrum, Kokomo, and clear bevels are also used. The frame is custom built out of natural red oak...it was the 4th project I had ever done.
Sun & Moon
This panel is 169 pieces done in with the copper foil method. Mostly Spectrum waterglass was used with a little Wissmac, Bullseye (irridized charcoal gray fusible for the eyebrows) and Kokomo. Custom framed in mahogany.
Leaded panel
Leaded panel. Glass used: Lambert, Youghiogheny, Bullseye, Wissmac, Kokomo, and the Heron is a clear bevel cluster. Has tempered glass over the front and is in a custom Mahogany wood (sealed natural) frame. Originally, I made this for our front door, but is now at Prickly Pears in Mexico Beach, FL. I am quite proud of this piece... so I had the glass signed and dated :)
