Sushi-rise Platter Mold Bundle

The Wardell Sushi-rise Platter Mold Bundle enables glass fusers to create a sushi style platter that is 8.5” x 10.25” rectangle x 1-3/4” high (215 x 260 x 4.5 cm), with a square cookie style foot, in a three-step process.

1. The first step is to cast a glass foot disk using the C110 foot casting mold and 5 oz (140 g) of scrap-glass shards.
2. Then design and fuse a 8.5” x 10.25” (215 x 260) rectangle flat design. This could be a single glass layer with fused design elements on it or it could be a two layer, full-fused design, or simply cut your rectangle from a compelling piece of fusible art glass and let the design in the glass and the square cast foot on the bottom be the star.
3. The final step is to slump the design into the Sushi-rise Mold to shape the platter and attach the cast glass foot to the underside in a single firing.

You can also create a beautiful platter without adding the cast glass foot. Create your rectangle design, place it on the S225 mold and follow the slump firing schedule. The center of the design will slump into the foot cavity in the mold to form a slump-drop foot.

Note: The fusing kiln chamber must be minimum 14” diameter by 6” deep (36 x 15 cm)
